We're in much better shape now, but this photo illustrates my life over the last two weeks. It has been a manic time of packing, painting, storing, organizing and cleaning to get the house ready to be put on the market. The house is now officially for sale and today we put the lock box on the front door. The house looks great, but it's not my house. Everything is too big, too open, too white (the realtor insisted on no yellow fireplace, no green in the kitchen) and too pristine. We find ourselves tip-toeing around trying to figure out where to sit down, where to put dirty clothes that need to be washed, etc. In other words, no one can live here! Fortunately we have good friends who are willing to feed us on the weekends so we don't mess up our kitchen - we have dinner invites for both tonight and Sunday!
