Years ago I bought a postcard at the bookstore in Iowa City with this picture on it. I had no idea who the artist was - all I knew is that I loved the photo. Well, lo and behold, there was an ad in the paper for this big William Eggleston show at The Whitney and they used the same picture! I had to go. It was awesome. We got to see it right before the show closed. The museum was packed. I gotta remember not to see shows on the closing weekend.....
