rain, rain

We've been stuck in an awful weather pattern here over the past 3 or 4 days. I think it might be the remnants of that tropical storm. It's been cool and rainy, with temperatures about 20 degrees below normal. No beach this week. Our roses are loving it, however, and I resurrected a quilting project that I hadn't worked on since March. We dodged the raindrops and made it to the farm today. The mud was well worth it. We got the first tomatillos of the season and tons more tomatoes, along with basil, chard, peppers, and black raspberries, just to name a few. I see another batch of sauce in my future.
