We celebrated the Jewish New Year by going to the farm to pick up some basil for saucemaking and sunflowers. The rows and rows of sunflowers were spectacular. It has been a superb growing season for our CSA. Needless to say, I will be drowning in sauce this weekend. But I know I will be thankful in January when I can pull a bag of it out of the freezer for a yummy dinner.
