After we arrived on the night-bus and checked into our hotel, we went out for the most amazing meat-fest lunch. After that it was completely necessary to go on a little walking tour. We crossed Avenida 9 de Julio (twice) just to see how fast we could do it, and then we wandered over to Plaza de Mayo to gawp at the government buildings and the Casa Rosada. The president in Argentina works in a pink house, not a white house. The top photo is looking north-east out of Plaza de Mayo. The bottom photo is looking all the way across Avenida 9 de Julio.
