on to Dorado

After a few days in VSJ we set out for Dorado. We decided to park ourselves at a resort there for a few days because it wasn't that far from San Juan (maybe 20 minutes west?) and explore some place new. We were definitely spoiled. Our hotel room had a view of the ocean and the breakfasts were great. Bobbie made friends with one of the waiters in the restaurant who figured out that Bob really liked the rice and beans (the chef really was a good cook) and kept him fully supplied. We could not complain about our access to the hot tub, pools, beach, etc. For the few days before x-mas it felt like we were practically the only people there. The masses moved in on Christmas eve. But even then there were plenty of beach chairs, and Bob's favorite boyfriend still had time to bring him extra rice and beans.
