Jesse was in town over the weekend. She really, really wanted to go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art so yesterday we trooped into the city to check out some culture. First, however, we needed to go to B&H Photo so that Jesse could finally buy that digital camera she had been wanting. That place is an experience all in its own right. If you've never been you must put it on your list. They have the world's most technologically advanced conveyor belt system to move goods all over the store. Once we bought the camera we headed up to the museum. The picture above is from the Arts of Africa room. Isn't it so cool?!? This monstrosity is a gong! Of course once we read that Bob and I really wanted to whack it with something to see what kind of noise it made..... We pretty much had to run out of the room because we were afraid that we would hit it with something and then get thrown out of the museum.
