We headed back down to Guanica to stay at Mary Lee's compound by the Sea. Our apartment this year was even better than the place where I had stayed with my family last year. We had a gigantic multi-level porch all to ourselves. We had a huge covered area - which was good because I got a weird white-girl burn our first day there.... - a covered eating area that is separate from what you can see in the photo above, and a sun deck with a grill! It was super-quiet all day because all the crazy Puerto Rican families that were on holiday with us were all off on their boats or at the beach all day. I think Bobbie read five books while we were there.
