This was the first day in a long, long time that the sun was still up when my train emerged from the tunnel on my way home. It was a happy, happy sight. Of course that doesn't mean that it was still up when I got home, but the gradual progress toward spring is welcome. It means that I might not go to work and come back home in the pitch-black of night. It means that I get to walk across Central Park twice a day without worrying about my safety. All in all, it was a good commute home.
